Questions, answered

Mandate-fit questions

Published minimums vary by service. Equity mandates typically begin at USD 5 million, debt at USD 10 million, real estate finance at USD 20 million, and fund placement for funds of USD 50 million or more.

The enquiry should come from an owner, board member, senior executive, authorised sponsor, fund manager, investor or professional adviser who can confirm the authority to begin a confidential mandate discussion.

Relevant materials usually include a short company or project overview, historical and forecast financial information, the amount and use of funds, ownership and capital structure, current debt, proposed security and an indicative timetable.

Engagements ordinarily combine a written retainer with a success fee. Final terms depend on transaction size, complexity, jurisdiction and scope and are agreed before work begins.
